But a stem-cell transplant reduces the chance of relapse to less than 10%. (It is also essentially known as a bone-marrow transplant). I decided to start the search for a donor.

“I want to thank For A Cure NW for the fun and well-planned fundraising golf tournament in October 2021. Tom Hayes, founder, and his team had volunteers from friends and family all along the golf course helping the golfers donate more funds in their attempts to be the long driver of the day or closest to the pin on the par 3s. All money raised goes to the Seattle Children”s High-Risk Leukemia program. Certainly it is a great cause for an illness that has touched many of us personally. I’m looking forward to an even bigger turnout at the next tournament and am so glad to be able to participate!
